| Here you can find the different kind of bets to be made on a craps table: Pass Line Bet- You win when the Come Out roll is a 7 or 11 (also known as a natural) and lose if it’s a 2, 3, or 12. If a point is rolled, it must be made (be rolled again before the roller sevens-out). If they seven out, you lose. Odds on Pass Line Bet- this is a wager to be added to your bet on the Pass Line in the case a point is rolled. There are different payoffs for each number rolled, because there are different likihoods of each combination. If the point number is 4 or 10, you’d be paid 2:1, if it’s 5 or 9 the odds are 3:2, and 6 or 8 pays 6:5. You only win if the point is made, or rolled again before a 7. Come Bet- You are betting on whether the person will make their point or not. It’s very similar to the Pass bet, except the Pass bet is made before the Come Out roll, and the Come bet is made after a point number has been established. You lose if craps are thrown, that is 2, 3, or 12. Other rolls are not losing as long as the point is made before a 7 is rolled. Odds on a Come Bet- same thing as Odds on a Pass bet, except they are contingent on the Come bet. Don’t Pass Line Bet- The opposite of the Pass Line Bet. If the Come Out roll is a 7 or 11, you lose. If it is a 2 or a 3, you win. A 12 is a tie, also called a push, with the house casino. If the roll results in the acquisition of a point number, a 7 (seven-out) that will end the shooters turn will also make you a winner. If the shooter achieves his point, you lose. Some tables discourage betting on the Don’t Pass line, because you are essentially betting against your fellow gambler, and with the house. Some individuals frown on the practice, but it depends on the people you’re playing with. Don’t Come Bet- the opposite of a, you guessed it, Come bet. You win on 2 or 3, lose on 7 or 11, and push for 12. Place bets- these are placed (no pun intended) after the point has been determined. You are betting on what numbers you think will be rolled before a) the point is made or b) the shooter seven-outs. You can bet on the point numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10. If your number is hit before a 7, you win. Everytime. The payoffs for place bets vary depending on the number (again owing to the likelihood of combinations.) 4 and 10 pay 9:5, 5 or 9 pay 7:5, 6 or 8 pay 7:6. You can change your mind on this wager at any time, and pull it from the table, or move it to another number. Field bets- while most bets in craps will carry through multiple rolls, or even multiple games, field bets are applicable to the next roll only. If a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 is thrown, you win. A 5, 6, 7, 8 is rolled and you lose. The reason for the division of number is also based on the likelihood of combinations. The payoffs vary only slightly: a 2 rolled pays 2:1, a 12 rolled pays 3:1, all other numbers win 1:1. Big Eight/ Big Six bets- they win if, surprise, a 6 or an 8 is rolled before the shooter seven-outs. They are even bets (pay 1:1) Proposition bets- they are located in the center of the table, may be made at any time, and with the exception of the hardways- are bets that apply to one roll only.
