| Canadian online bingo developer Parlay Entertainment owns a program on television called Big Box Bingo. Parlay Entertainment has just announced an arrangement with interactive television group Net Play TV to promote and expand its Big Box Bingo television program. The long term plan is to have phases that will include cell phone integration, streaming television and the incorporation of Parlay Entertainment’s back end software to power the Big Box Bingo game on the television. However the more immediate plans of the multi phase project will be a slew of online slot machines and an online bingo solution that will have the fans of the show continue to play additional bingo games over the internet. “Our formula of a quality live television show, big prizes and the ability to mark real bingo cards at home has already proven to be a winning combination,” said Martin Higginson who is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Net Play TV. “By combining the flexibility of the Internet with the trusted medium of television we have created a potent new gaming product that players really love. This is the next step in our mission to offer a truly converged gaming experience.” Big Box Bingo airs every week on Sky. It is the United Kingdom’s first live interactive television show; it gives the viewers at home a chance to play the length of an interactive bingo game with cards they can purchase online at Big Box Bingo.com Parlay Entertainment feels that it is a natural direction to take the interactive television show. Being able to play your favorite show online will satiate the big fans and possibly turn a few curious people into new fans. The partnership between Parlay Entertainment and Net Play TV will use the power of Parlay Entertainment’s software as well as their enormous experience with online bingo. “Big Box Bingo is one of the most exciting bingo games we have ever seen,” said Steve Cook who is the European Managing Director for Parlay Entertainment. “We are pleased that Net Play TV has chosen us to help them further develop the interactive features of the show including mobile phone and further web integration.” |
